How to achieve a Cinematic footage using Drone.

It doesn’t matter whether you are flying a cheap or expensive drone. It’s all about your artistic creativity and moves. Of course if you are concern about the video quality of your footage, it is always advantage to have the higher specs of camera attach to your aircraft. But today we are focusing on how to capture a cinematic video that will make your audience say “wow”.

In any field, planning is one of the first step you need to do before you make your next move. Primarily involves your surroundings. In this step, will include identification of what things are present that could pose a danger like power lines, trees, building houses, people and birds. Take note that bird attack are the primary cause of drone incident.

Yes, you heard me right. Birds can be very territorial especially when they have nest around. I am talking about eagle, hawk, falcon, raven and most especially an osprey, these birds are highly protective of their airspace and sure they are capable of crashing your aircraft. And sometimes in urban places you may encounter seagulls and crows, they are very curious creatures.

Cinematic Technique 1 : Single Action Reveal

Once you decided how you are going to show a scenery. For example, in a breezy summer day in a yellow canola field with some fast moving vehicle on the highway along the field side with a parallel tree line.

Cinematic Technique 2 : Two Stroke Action

A two move combination of yaw to the right direction while gaining altitude or pitch increase. This will result a spinning motion to reveal the surroundings of the subject.

Cinematic Technique 3 : Three Stroke Action

A three move combination of forward motion while slightly reducing altitude or pitch and panning the camera down to your subject.
